About

Classic Albums Live is a new concept in live music. Developed by producer Phil Bathols, Classic Albums Live gives audiences the opportunity to hear some of their all-time favourite albums live on stage, performed by outstanding musicians in state-of-the-art
performance venues.
"When the Sydney Symphony takes on Beethoven's 5, their approach to the music is meticulous. A lot of effort goes into getting the best players and precisely the right person for each role. The emphasis is entirely on the music which is very much the Classic Albums Live approach.'
"The goal for Classic Albums Live is that every album recreated is done so with great integrity. Our aim is to reproduce the original spirit of the album with great sound and lights – a total experience'.
The Founder

Phil Bathols has an impressive track record in delivering on what he describes. He was a producing partner on Joni: a tribute to the music of Joni Mitchell and The White Album Concert, the Beatles phenomenon which played to sell-out audiences around the country. He now brings the same high production values, theatrical know-how and musical instincts to this new venture.
"There's something magical about attending a live performance, says Phil. "Sure, you can listen to the original on CD anytime you like but seeing and hearing these albums performed by musicians of this calibre in an intimate setting such as the State Theatre will be a very special experience.'
At the heart of the project is the Classic Albums Live website, www.ClassicAlbumsLive.com.au. It is here that music admirers of all ages can nominate their favourite albums and vote on what they most want to hear.
"My goal in is to deliver what people want,' says Phil, "so in the end it will be the audience who decides what is a 'classic' album, and what they most want to hear."
Audiences will have the chance to see for themselves with Classic Albums Live's
very first show.
